8 a.m.: Race begins in front of the Peterson Fieldhouse

6:30 a.m. Race day check-in in the Peterson Fieldhouse  
Participants in the Run-a-MUC must read and agree to the waiver on the registration form to participate 

  • $20 Pre-registration*/$25 day of event.
  • Current Mount Union students $5 with Purple Plus ID
  • Pre-Registration deadline is October 1 
  • Walk-ups accepted day of the event (shirt not guaranteed)
    *Race shirt available only to pre-registered 5k participants (must register by September 31)

8:15 - 9 a.m.: Kid's Activities (free)
 Peterson Field House 

  • Activities coordinated by Education students including egg & spoon, crab walk, mini race and more. 
  • Future Raider t-shirts are available for the first 30 children.  Pre-registration is requested; indicate child's age & shirt size on the registration form.
  • Children must be accompanied by an adult to participate.   

Run-a-MUC Course:

The 5K/3.1 mile Run-a-MUC race will begin and end on the Mount Union campus in Alliance, OH.

Runners should report for the start of the race in front of the MAAC (formerly Timken Physical Education Building) on Hartshorn Avenue.  The finish line is inside the Mount Union Stadium.  The course is mostly flat and fast, routed through residential areas surrounding the University. Volunteers will be throughout the course with directional signage and water stations.

Awards: (Run-a-MUC race only) 

Prizes will be awarded to the first three overall male and first three overall female winners of the 5K race and to the first two finishers in each age group (excluding overall winners).

  • The top overall male and top overall female will win a pair of running shoes valued up to $150 from the New England Running Company compliments of alum Dave Menosky '80

There will be a ceremony in the stadium following the conclusion of the race.  Winners must be present to receive prize.

Each pre-registrant will receive a race shirt plus an all-you-can-eat brunch ticket to use that day in the Kresge dining hall in the Hoover Price Campus Center (note doors open for brunch at 10:30 a.m.).
