5K Race
& Kids Race

8 a.m.

Race begins at 8:00 a.m. in front of the MAAC (former Timken Building).

Race day check-in begins at 6:30 a.m. in the MAAC lobby. 
Participants in the Run-a-MUC must read and agree to the waiver on the registration form to participate 

  • $20 Pre-registration is now CLOSED*/$25 day of event.
  • Current Mount Union students*$5 with ID
  • Pre-Registration deadline is September 31 
  • Walk-ups accepted day of the event (shirt not guaranteed)
    *Race shirt available only to pre-registered 5k participants (must register by September 31)
  • Kids Race (free) is for children up to age 7 and consists of one lap around the track.

The 5K/3.1 mile Run-a-MUC race will begin and end on the Mount Union campus in Alliance, OH. The race will start on Hartshorn near the Gulling parking lot in front of the Peterson Field House and finish inside the Mount Union stadium.  The course is mostly flat and fast, routed through residential areas surrounding the University. Volunteers will be throughout the course with directional signage and water stations. Runners should report for the start of the race in front of the MAAC (formerly Timken Physical Education Building) on Hartshorn Avenue.  (The website is currently experiencing issues resulting in the map not showing up - maps will be provided at check-in)

Awards: (Run-a-MUC race only) 

Prizes will be awarded to the first three overall male and first three overall female winners of the 5K race and to the first two finishers in each age group (excluding overall winners).

  • The top overall male and top overall female will win a pair of running shoes valued up to $150 from the New England Running Company compliments of alum Dave Menosky '80

There will be a ceremony in the stadium following the conclusion of the race.  Winners must be present to receive prize.

Each pre-registrant will receive a race shirt plus an all-you-can-eat brunch ticket to use that day in the Kresge dining hall in the Hoover Price Campus Center (note doors open for brunch at 10:30 a.m.).

Fruit will be available at the finish line sponsored by

Kid's Race (free), immediately following the Run-A-MUC. Pre-Registration requested.
Race is for children 10 years and under and consists of one lap around the track. Pre-registration is requested to ensure everyone receives a prize at the finish line.  T-shirt are not available for the kids race. 
NOTE:  Kids Race begins after all Run-A-MUC runners have finished.   Email to register including the child's name.
