Friday, October 5:

6:30 p.m.:  Choir Reunion, Cope Music Hall
Choir alumni are invited back to campus to reunion together and perform the alma mater during the football pre-game show on Saturday.   Click the link for t

7:30 p.m.:  Voir Dire theatre production, Giese Center for the Performing Arts
VOIR DIRE by Joe Sutton tells the fictional, yet somehow familiar story of a sequestered jury coming to grips with racial bias in our justice system.  Chair of the department, Kevin Kern, says "w
e chose this play because it raises important questions which we hope will spark debate throughout our campus community.  Further, our department has grown to include such a diverse body of actors, we felt like this was a perfect time to produce this very special play".  To purchase tickets, contact the box office at 330.821.2565.


Saturday, October 6 

8 a.m.:  35th Annual 5k Run-A-MUC      

Sponsored by    

Race day check-in begins at 6:30 a.m. in the MAAC lobby 
Race begins at 8:00 a.m. in front of the MAAC (former Timken Building)
Participants in the Run-a-MUC must read and agree to the waiver on the registration form to participate 
$25 day of event. Pre-registration is currently closed. Mount Union students $5 with ID

Must pre-register by September 31 to receive a race shirt
(A Mount Union Sports Business student coordinates this annual Homecoming 5K run) 
8:15 - 9 a.m.: Kid's Activities (free), Peterson Field House 
Activities coordinated by Education students including egg & spoon, crab walk, mini race and more. 
Pre-registration is requested to ensure everyone receives a prize. 
Future Raider t-shirts are available for the first 25 children.  Indicate child's age & shirt size on the registration form.
Children must be accompanied by an adult to participate.    

9:30 - 11 a.m.: Alumni Brunch,Tent in King Hall parking lot 
Highlight event of Alumni Weekend recognizing milestone reunion classes and legacy families plus a short presentation of our Alumni Award recipients .  A special performance by the Mount Union choir including choir alumni. 
All alumni and friends are invited to attend this event.  

  • Dodie Davis Alumni Service Award - TBA
  • McKinley Fellow Award - TBA
  • Young Alumni Award - TBA

Event is a sit down buffet brunch beginning promptly at 9:30 a.m. (please plan to arrive by 9:30 a.m. for your nametag and assigned seating)

  • Cost $12 adults (ages 10- adult) and $5 child (ages 2-9) 
  • Pre-registration requested by September 31
  • RSVP required by calling (330) 823-2030
  • Game day/Business Casual attire is appropriate

10 a.m. - 2 p.m.:  Alumni Weekend Headquarters, tent near the stadium
Stop by the tent outside the main stadium entrance: create a nametag, pick up a campus map and walking tour information, update your contact information, pick up a schedule of events and purchase an Alumni Weekend t-shirt for $10

10 a.m. - 5 p.m.:  University Store open (bookstore)HPCC 
Visit the bookstore to purchase Raider gear and other items for the
entire family.

11- 1 p.m.: Entertainment - Gulling Center parking lot
Enjoy musical entertainment while visiting classmates around campus.  


11 - 1:15 p.m.: MUcaw FunZone including MUcaw's 25th Birthday Celebration,
Quad
Bring the kids to the MUcaw Fun Zone for games, bounce house, balloon art, Ice Cream truck, painting pumpkins plus celebrate MUcaw's 25th birthday with a book signing by MUcaw and cake!    

 
11 - 1:15 p.m.: Photo Area
Stop by the photo area outside the SE corner of the Mount Union Stadium to take fun group photos with friends, family and classmates.  Reunion group photos, Legacy family photos and family/friend photos - be sure to hold up your reunion year sign!

11 a.m. - 1:15 p.m.:  Reunions

  • '40's, '50's & '60's Reunions, Alumni Room, HPCC
    Classmates from those era's are invited to reunion together in the East Room of the Campus Center.  Enjoy sharing memories and what you've been doing for the past few years with each other.  
    Class of 1958 (60th) is gathering in the West Room

  • '70's, '80's, '90's & 2000's, Tent in Gulling parking lot
    Classmates from the 70's-2000's are invited to stop by our tent in the Gulling parking lot for refreshments and socializing with each other.  Are you interested in a more formal reunion gathering for your class?  Contact us at alumni@mountunion.edu to discuss!  Classmates contacting classmates to return to campus is invaluable - sign up to be a Class Agent for your class.

 

  • Triple Crown XC & Track Reunion (1977-1978), TBD, HPCC
    Members of the 1977-78 Cross Country and Track teams are invited back to campus to celebrate the 40th anniversary of their winning three OAC titles in one year (cross country, indoor & outdoor track).  Take part in the Run-a-MUC, enjoy brunch together and be recognized during the football game.

 

  • Education Reunion, Tent on SE corner of Mount Union stadium
    Alumni with an Education major and/or minor (undergraduate and graduate) are invited back to campus to reunion together.  Join faculty and current students in the tent between the stadium and the MAAC for refreshments, hear about the MAEL graduate program and more.

 

  • International Alumni Reunion, Newbold Room, HPCC
    International alumni and former classmates are invited to reunion together back on campus. 

 

  • Alumni Swim Meet & Cookout, pool
    Ready to get  back in the pool...or cheer on fellow alumni?  Men and Women alumni swimmers are invited to the annual alumni swim meet with the current team.  Warmups begin at 11 a.m. with the meet starting at Noon.  A cookout will follow on the south lawn of Chapman Hall.

Stop by the Nature Center to enjoy walking trails and the amazing visitor center.  The Center is located six miles south of Mount Union on Daniel Street, just off of Route 183 (Union Avenue).

1:30 p.m.:  Football vs. Wilmington, Mount Union Stadium
Game tickets are $10 each and are only available at the gate.  No Advance ticket sales.
   All seats are reserved in the stadium (both sides are considered home).

3:30 p.m. & Beyond; Post-Game Gatherings for ALL alumni to attend
All alums within each decade are invited to reunion together to socialize and visit with classmates at the following locations on their own.

5:30-9 p.m.:  Black Student Union Alumni Gathering, Tent in the King Hall lot

Sunday, October 7: 


Noon:  Baseball Alumni Game & Cookout 23rd Street Field 
Former members of the Mount Union baseball team are invited back to campus to participate in an alumni game.  Come back to play one inning, the whole game or assist in other ways.  Stay after the game for a cookout at the Hood to socialize with former Raiders.  For more information and to register, contact Assistant Coach Cory Douglas at douglaco@mountunion.edu.
