Alumni Association Committees

The Alumni Executive Board is comprised of selected alumni to chair 6 committees.  All alumni are encouraged to participate by joining one of the following committees.  Contact the Alumni Office at alumni@mountunion.edu expressing your interest and which committee. 

Access Alumni (Career Development)

  • Assist in facilitating the successful implementation of Exceptional Connections, Linkedin group and more. 

 

Admissions

  • Write letters to prospective students and parents from alumni perspective, welcome parents & students at Admission events like the Presidential Scholarship Competition, and aid in the recruitment of students especially Legacy students (student of an alum).

 

Alumni Events (National Day of Service and Alumni Clubs)

  • Develop a plan for the Mount Union National Day of Service then facilitate communciation between the Alumni Office and city coordinators.  Assist in the development of future Alumni sites and work with club coordinators to establish event dates and communication plans.

Awards and Nominations (Alumni Service Awards and Association Scholarship)

  • Develop a plan to solicit the general alumni population for nominations for alumni awards and future executive board members.  Work with Financial Services and Sherrie Wallace to award the endowed Alumni Association scholarship.

 

Communications (Social Media)

  • Assist the Alumni Office with social media efforts (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc) plus electronic communication story/feature ideas.

 

Reunions

  • Assist the Alumni Office in identifying affinity reunion groups to host a reunion and class agents per class to contact reunion classes prior to Alumni Weekend to encourage attendance.
