Registration:
Check-in begins at 6:30 a.m. in the MAAC Lobby near the Field House

  • Cost for the race includes a race shirt and brunch ticket
  • $20 pre-registration / $25 day of event
  • $5 for Mount Union Students with ID
  • Shirts available to pre-registered participants only - register by October 10

Participants in the Run-a-MUC must read and agree to the waiver on the registration form in order to participate

Kid’s Race:
A special Kids’ Race is open to all children age 7 and younger. The race begins immediately following the conclusion of the 5K and consists of one lap around the Mount Union’s track. Each participant will receive a prize. Pre-registration is required for the Kid’s Race to ensure prizes available for  all.

Course:

The 5K/3.1 mile Run-a-MUC race will begin and end on the Mount Union campus in Alliance, OH. Due to construction the course has been modified.  The start will take place on Hartshorn near the Gulling parking lot and finish inside the stadium.  The course is mostly flat and fast, routed through residential areas surrounding the University. It will be police protected with splits at each mile and water stations. Runners should report for the start of the race in front of the MAAC (formerly Timken Physical Education Building) on Hartshorn Avenue. 

 


Awards: (Run-a-MUC race only) 

Prizes will be awarded to the first three overall male and female winners of the 5K race and to the first two finishers in each age group (excluding overall winners). There will be a ceremony in the stadium following the conclusion of the race.  Winners must be present to receive prize.

Each pre-registrant will receive an all-you-can-eat brunch ticket to use that day in the Kresge dining hall in the Hoover Price Campus Center (doors open at 11 a.m.) and a race shirt.
