Volunteer Opportunities


Alumni looking to give back in the form of their time are always welcome in the Alumni Office!

Below lists a few events this year that alumni can volunteer to assist, but we are not limited to only those.  We also welcome assistance with large mailings (putting on labels and stuffing envelopes), classroom focus groups, and other events or tasks throughout the year.

Contact our office at alumni@muc.edu or 330-823-2030 to have your name placed on our volunteer list and we’ll contact you when we can use alumni assistance.

2009-2010 Events:

  • Freshman Move-In Day on Friday, August 28.  Wearing purple “We’re Back” t-shirts, alumni pass out cookies and water to parents, freshman and student volunteers, greet parents as well as give support as the day can be emotional for them, assist with moving in and giving directions.  Meet at the Alumni Office at 9 a.m.
  • M Club Members – M Club Hall of Fame Induction on Saturday, Sept. 26.  Greet induction members and their families.
  • Homecoming/Alumni Weekend on Saturday, October 3.  Assist with greeting guests at the Memorial Service, Alumni Luncheon, and alums at various reunion tents, or work a carnival booth at the Street Fair passing out MUC goodies, balloons and more.  Mount Union Women and the M Club have held fundraising booths in the past at the street fair.
  • National Day of Service – Date TBA.  Assist with project in various locations across the Nation.
  • SCHOLAR DAY on Tuesday, April 20.  Greet guests arriving for SCHOLAR Day presentations throughout the day and give directions to presentation locations.
